Project deliverables:

  • A guide systematising the policy measures and interventions recognised as good practices for curbing soil sealing in urban areas, including the identification of the data, indicators, and methods used in their monitoring (in Portuguese);
  • Description of the proposed interventions in the intra-urban areas of the studied municipalities;
  • Guidelines and recommendations for Municipal Territorial Plans and the Legal Framework for Urbanisation and Building, to help contain and reverse soil sealing and increase the resilience of cities to climate change;
  • Final project report, including a policy brief on international and national policies to control soil sealing and mitigate its effects in a climate change adaptation context;
  • Scientific article on the co-creation of interventions developed with the municipalities studied.
