The project will deliver the following documents:

  • A guide systematizing the policy measures and interventions recognized as good practice for limiting soil sealing in urban areas, with identification of the data, indicators, and methods adopted in their monitoring and in assessing the resilience of cities to climate change;
  • Description of the interventions proposed in the intra-urban areas of three Portuguese municipalities (case studies);
  • Guidelines and recommendations for Municipal Territorial Plans and the Legal Framework for Urbanisation and Building, to help contain and reverse soil sealing and increase the resilience of cities to climate change;
  • Final project report, including a policy brief on international and national policies to control soil sealing and mitigate its effects in a climate change adaptation context;
  • Scientific article on the co-creation of interventions developed with the municipalities studied.
